Heart Doula Service's goal is to act as the expectant parents advocate,
honoring their choices and needs and creating together with them the
birth and postpartum experience they desire as a family.
What is a Doula?
The ancient Greek work "doula" means "woman caregiver". We now use the
word to describe a trained and experienced labor companion who provides
the woman and her partner continuous emotional support, physical
comfort and assistance in obtaining information before, during and
after childbirth. In addition, doulas help in the home after the birth
of a baby providing care and guidance to the new family.
